MAY 2017

The month of May has brought some amazing gifts, which is very fitting given May is also my birthday month!

Max Payne Retribution...took to the red carpet in style this month at its World Premiere in London.  This is the fantastic fan film brought to you by the amazing team that is Leroy Kincaide and Chloe Chudasama from Nocturnal Pictures.  These guys have enthusiasm and talent in equal measure and so it was my absolute pleasure to play the role of Stephanie.  The film will be launched online on 24 June 2017 so make sure you follow Twitter feed @MAXPAYNE_UK for all the details.  If you're a Payne fan you will not be disappointed and if you're not a Payne fan, you're about to become one. Trust me. #payneiscoming

In the meantime, here's a little behind-the-scenes glimpse at my red carpet interview with the lovely Rachael Downie.

More good news for Fortress...this month Fortress has been shortlisted in this year's Cardiff Mini Festival with plenty more submissions in the pipeline, so keep your fingers crossed!

Licensed to kill...well not quite, but I did Pass with Distinction my British Academy of Stage and Screen Combat (BASSC) exam in Unarmed Combat!  Huge thanks are due to my fight coach, Janet Lawson, from Stage Fight Scotland.  If you need fight arranging for films or stage or require training in unarmed combat or weapons, then you need to visit https://www.stagefightscotland.com

Whilst I will not miss the early starts and the hours of intensive fight training (along with the occasional bruise and aching muscles!), I will miss my coach and classmates.  One of the best things about the world of stage and screen is that you get to meet some pretty amazing people and because you share incredible experiences with them, your friendships last a lifetime.

Next month...I'm looking forward to the cast and crew screening of Auld Alliance's Fran and The Moth at the Centre for Contemporary Arts in Glasgow.  Plus, if all goes to plan, I will be back on the set of IronStar Film's Tellurian.

Until then, I would like to leave you with the wise words of Abraham Lincoln,

"Things MAY come to those who wait, but only the things left by those who hustle."

So, get out there and hustle and I'll see you all back here next month!
