CHARITIES

One of the things I love about being an actress is the flexible hours, which allows me to volunteer and fundraise for the charities I love.

During lockdown due to COVID_19 I provided storytelling sessions for the patients at Glasgow Childen’s Hospital Charity. My JustGiving page is still available on this link https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/hollychristmas if you would like to make a donation to this wonderful charity.

I also took part in the Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity ‘Lap the Map 20’ Challenge and in the company of good friends covered a personal best of 125 kilometres in 3 weeks!

With the hunger of lapping miles not sated, I allowed my children to talk me into a Christmas Rowing Challenge, rowing the length of the longest river in the United Kingdom - the River Severn measuring in at an impressive 354km - on a static rowing machine, to raise funds for the British Heart Foundation. We each had to row 5km a day, so it was a tough challenge (especially in the lead-up to Christmas when you have more things to do than time to do them and all you want to do at night is get cosy on the couch and watch a Christmas movie!). The page is still open so please donate on this link if you can https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/christmasrowingchallenge

I also like to get involved in as many fundraising activities as possible for The Ayrshire Hospice, as they provide such a valuable service for those with life-limiting illnesses. From May 2017 until January 2022 I was a Member of the Autumn Ball Committee.  If you would like to donate to this very worthy charity, their website is www.ayrshirehospice.org

Big or small, every bit counts so please help if you can.
