Armchair Detectives wins a Scottish BAFTA for Best Entertainment…and I am delighted to have played the role of Emma Kean in Episode 11, School’s Out for Murder! How exciting is that?! Thank you to everyone for their love and support (and for keeping your fingers crossed) and especially thanks to Tiger Aspect Productions for casting me. It is such a good feeling to be able to tick this goal off the list! Seriously, I am so proud to be in a BAFTA-winning television series. Next cab off the rank is to win a Scottish BAFTA for best actress. So, if you have a project in mind…get in touch and let’s do this!

Convergence screens to cast and crew at Glasgow Film Theatre…and it was just brilliant to see the film in all its glory on the big screen. This film, directed by Steve Johnson of Futuristfilm Ltd and starring Nicolette McKeown and Jeremy Theobald, has already started to pile up the stellar reviews. Thanks to a personal recommendation from Nicolette (whom I met on the set of Sheltered) I am thrilled to have a small role in this big film! So big loves to Nicolette for putting me in touch with Steve. That’s the great thing about this industry. You meet the most amazing people and they continue to look after you and care for you long after the director calls it a wrap. Matriarch.jpg

Delighted to attend the screening of Matriarch at Cineworld Glasgow…in support of fellow actors Alan Cuthbert and Briony Monroe. I met Alan on the set of the very first short film I appeared in, Anaktoron, and loved him from the get-go. He is a great actor and lots of fun on set…which is just as well, as every time we’re in a film together he is either trying to or succeeding at killing me! Briony and I shared a number of scenes in Sheltered and I loved every minute working with her, she is so professional and so adorable you just want to cuddle her every time you see her! It was also great to meet the director, Scott Vickers, so thank you Alan and Briony for inviting me to the after-party!

Apologies for the delay in delivering this month’s update…sadly I suffered a major life crisis this month which brought my life to a grinding halt. However, as they say, the show must go on and so I am looking forward to getting my personal life as well as my career back on track, and I would like to take this opportunity to thank my true friends for supporting me through this very difficult time. I don’t know what I would do without you all in my life, I will be forever grateful.

As Thomas Aquinas said, “There is nothing on this earth more to be prized than true friendship.” So, make sure to tell your friends how much you love and value them and give them an extra big hug this month!
